Delete or Update Responses

Form Creators and Respondents to forms can delete their responses and add new responses if they need to make changes. To change a response, you must first delete the response (full or partial) that you want to remove, then submit another response with the options you want to include in the response.

FOR RESPONDENTS: DELETING & UPDATING RESPONSES

Respondents can delete/update their responses by visiting their Thank You or Submission page links that are sent to them in their response confirmation email. NOTE: To update a response you must delete the response (full or partial) and add a new response by submitting a new form response.

Visit the Thank You page for your response. Thank you page and Submission page links are sent via email after you respond to a form.

Click on 'View Full Submission' to see your full response.

Click the trash icon to remove any selected options that you would like to remove.

To change or add a different/new response, you will need to submit the form again.

To add a new or different response, select any options you would like. If you removed a partial response, the items you did not remove will still be saved so you do not need to add them again.

From Creators can delete or update responses from the Responses page of your form. NOTE: To update a response you must delete the response (full or partial) and add a new response by submitting a new form response or adding a manual response.

Start on the Responses page of your form.

Scroll down to Response Details. You can click the trash icon to remove any responses from your form. Clicking on the Submission links will show you the full Submission for a response/respondent.

The Submission will allow you to remove full or partial responses.

Form Creators can click 'Add Manual Response' to add a new response for a respondent.

When you add a manual response you can choose whether to notify the respondent you are submitting for, or not. The default setting is to NOT notify the email address you are submitting a response for.
